(This blog has a different vibe than others but thought it was interesting to write)
Most people who attended college in America since the beginning of time can agree that college was a sleep away drinking camp....but now today that drinking camp costs a boatload of money that most people can't pay back.... I think the world is about to be turned upside down in a few years, (search on Mark Cuban's blog www.blog-maverick.com on more specifics on the college crisis great article)....the point of this blog is to make light of any subject and that's what I am going to do here: my solution is creating a school with very low tuition called :
SCHOOL AWESOME... and here are the rules
- don't talk about fight club (couldn't resist.....)
- the school day is only Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursdays
- Set up posts around the country so you can study anywhere for 1 semester, meet as many people as possible
- Teach basic modern life necessities...(ex. cooking, paying bills, computers,)
- Social life is number 1, focus on going out to different sporting events, concerts
- Actually finding what the hell you want to do in life and how to take steps to reach that goal without going through bogus processes of learning shit that doesn't help you
- encourage taking risks, having fun
- no grades, but an emphasis on using those three days to study stuff your interested in
- learn about what accumulating debt means to you and your family
- anticipate the rapid changing of the world economy, whats your idea on changing the world?.....
look these are a few ideas but the point being life is too short to get caught up in stupid shit that the institutions preach to us.... there should be an alternative to racking of debt that you'll never pay back, and a place where you can still have awesome experiences. Of course this idea is flawed but if no one pitches anything we'll never change this broken system.....
